Nashville District opening campgrounds, recreation areas in JuneNASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 14, 2020) – As part of a phased approach for reopening facilities as part of its COVID-19 reopening plan, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is opening its corps-managed campgrounds within the Cumberland River Basin in Tennessee June 1, 2020. Nashville District’s corps-managed campgrounds in Kentucky will reopen June 11 in alignment with Kentucky’s recently announced “Phase 2” reopening plan.

FIREWOOD POLICY: Firewood restrictions are in effect to prevent the spread of forest insects and disease at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District campgrounds in the Cumberland River Basin. Only firewood certified or approved by a USDA or State natural resource agency is permitted at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District campgrounds. Certified firewood vendors are available at http://www.firewoodscout.org

2020 Campsite Reservation Information

Campers may now make their reservations 180 days in advance and picnic shelter reservations 360 days in advance. Recreation.gov is taking reservations at this toll free telephone number, 1-877-444-6777. Campers can also make reservations on the Web at http://www.recreation.gov/.

Camping fees vary according to facilities and locations. Campsite capacity for persons and equipment varies.  Fees may be higher on weekends and holidays.  Visitors to campers are $3 per vehicle.
