Kentucky Lock at Tennessee River mile 22.4 in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, is closing 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, to Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, to make repairs to the downstream river wall air seals. Barkley Lock at Cumberland River mile 30.6 in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, is closing 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, through 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, for emergency repairs to the downstream miter gates.

Navigation Notice 23-39: Nashville District announces Fall 2023 Navigation Stakeholder Meeting

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is hosting a Navigation Industry Stakeholder Meeting 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. (CST) Nov. 8, 2023, at the Barkley Lock Resource Center. An agenda and meeting invite will be provided later. A virtual call-in option will be provided to those unable to attend in person.

Navigation Notice 23-30-1: Helper boat needed at Kentucky Lock in August

Drilling is planned in the upper and lower approaches of Kentucky Lock Aug. 7-18, 2023. During this time, all tows are required to utilize a helper boat on site to safely navigate past a drill rig.
