    Chief of engineers visits Chickamauga Lock Replacement Project

    CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Feb. 3, 2021) – The 55th chief of engineers visited the Chickamauga Lock Replacement Project on the Tennessee River today to meet with project managers and engineers and gain a better understanding of ongoing construction of a new lock chamber.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 28, 2018) – The commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Great Lakes and Ohio River Division gave a general overview of command philosophies and the Workforce Readiness Program during a visit this week to the Nashville District.

    The family of Philip L. Burney, a budget analyst in the Operations Division, was posthumously awarded the Superior Civilian Service Award, a United States flag, flown over the U.S. Capitol, and recognized for forty years of government service during a ceremony at the district June, 9, 2015. Burney passed away Feb. 1, 2015.
