    Eagle watchers flock to Dale Hollow Lake for annual tour

    CELINA, Tenn. (Jan. 28, 2017) – Eager sightseers boarded a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers open barge today to explore for American Bald Eagles along the Dale Hollow Lake shoreline. They stared at the tree tops on the horizon for a glimpse of America’s symbol of freedom and learned about how these amazing birds made a comeback to the region in the 1980s.

    Congressman Diane Black of Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District is dwarfed by one of four 1940 vintage, 12-by 12-foot culvert valves replaced this summer at the existing Kentucky Lock.     CELINA, Tenn. (Sept. 2, 2011) —The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District opened a sluice gate at the Dale Hollow Dam today to supplement hydropower releases with additional oxygen and water quality.

    Willow Grove Marina recertifies its ‘Clean Marina’ status

    DALE HOLLOW LAKE, Tenn. (April 1, 2011) – On a cool, overcast day in March 2005, Darren Shell raised the first Clean Marina flag in the Cumberland River Basin. As the owner and operator of Willow Grove Marina here, he has since been an advocate for clean water at his marina’s harbor.
