    LANCASTER, Tenn. (April 15, 2019) – First responders participated in an exercise at Center Hill Dam last week to coordinate actions that would be necessary if they had to respond to a scenario where the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District could not operate the spillways during a high water event.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 5, 2019) – First responders worked through a security scenario at J. Percy Priest Dam today to open communication channels and facilitate awareness of possible threats to infrastructure operated and maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District.

    Students connect with Corps emergency managers on Patriot Day

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 11, 2015) – Students at Stratford STEM Magnet High School can’t recall where they were when the towers of the World Trade Center fell on 9-11; they were just babies, toddlers or not even born yet. Fourteen years later they spent Patriot Day touring a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Emergency Command and Control Vehicle and learning about that fateful day from a Corps member who deployed to Pier 90 in Manhattan, N.Y., in the wake of the attack.
