    JAMESTOWN, Ky. (May 2, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that Kendall Campground and Day Use Area, to include its boat ramp and roadway along the riverside campground, will remain closed into August 2023 as repairs continue to rehabilitate flood damage sustained in February 2019.
  • NR 23-07: Experience stone sharpening at historic Mill Springs Mill

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 6, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is opening Historic Mill Springs Mill May 6-7, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (EDT) each day on the shoreline of Lake Cumberland. The public is invited to learn, participate, and experience stone sharpening activities as Miller John Childers hones the grist stones used throughout the recreation season to grind corn into cornmeal.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 2, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is set to replace the existing water distribution system, service lines, and supply lines at Waitsboro Recreation Area in Somerset, Kentucky.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 9, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is executing a sustainability project funded by the Section 212 Program to install an upstream diffuser system at Wolf Creek Dam on the Cumberland River in Jamestown, Kentucky.

(Oct. 20, 2022) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that portions of Kendall Campground and Day Use Area, to include its boat ramp and roadway along the riverside campground, are closing for repairs Oct. 24, 2022, through early April 2023 to rehabilitate flood damage sustained in February 2019.
  • NR 22-22: Contract awarded for Wolf Creek Dam Spillway Gates Replacement Project

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 29, 2022) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District awarded a $109,450,000 contract yesterday to American Bridge Company for the Wolf Creek Dam Spillway Gates Replacement Project. The project is fully funded by the Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2022.

(Aug. 30, 2022) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that Camp Attrahunt Boat Ramp, including its parking lot on the shoreline of Lake Cumberland in Monticello, Kentucky, is closing Thursday, Sept. 8, through Sunday, Sept. 11, during the Lake Cumberland Poker Run.
