    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 28, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and Tennessee Valley Authority invite the public for a free tour of Chickamauga Lock and Chickamauga Power Plant at Tennessee River mile 471 in Chattanooga, Tenn., Saturday, July 22, 2017.

  • NR 17-018: Public invited for Nickajack Lock tour on Tennessee River

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 28, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and Tennessee Valley Authority invite the public for a free tour of Nickajack Lock at Tennessee River mile 424.7 in Jasper, Tenn., Saturday, July 15, 2017. Check in for the tours will be at the Shell Mound Campground about a half mile from the lock.

  • NR 17-015: Corps of Engineers offers public access to Old Hickory Lock

    OLD HICKORY, Tenn. (May 24, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering public access to Old Hickory Navigation Lock located at Cumberland River mile 216.2. The lock will be accessible to visitors seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 26 until Sept. 8, 2017.

  • NR 17-014: Corps of Engineers offers public access to Cheatham Lock

    ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (May 24, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering public access to Cheatham Navigation Lock, located at Cumberland River mile 148.7. The lock viewing area is open to visitors seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 26 until Sept. 8, 2017.

  • NR 17-013: Public meeting to address blasting operation near Center Hill Dam

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 4, 2017) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and Thalle Construction Company, construction contractor, will discuss upcoming blasting operations near Center Hill Dam during a public meeting 5:30 p.m. May 9 at the Resource Manager’s Shop Conference Room located just below the dam at 158 Resource Lane in Lancaster, Tenn.

  • NR 17-012: Cookeville workshop to address state’s need for firewood producers

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 4, 2017) — An alliance of state, federal and non-governmental partners are hosting a free public workshop 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 25 at the Leslie Town Centre in Cookeville, Tenn., that will show participants how to develop their own small businesses to sell heat-treated firewood to fill increasing demand at campgrounds in Tennessee.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 14, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Dale Hollow Dam Road at the dam in Celina, Tenn., is closing 8 a.m. April 25 through 4 p.m. April 28, 2017 due to scheduled maintenance to inspect the spillway gates and trunnions.
