NR 18-001: Cheatham Lake shoreline management plan workshop cancelled

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 22, 2018) – Due to the ongoing government shutdown, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is cancelling a public workshop to update the Cheatham Lake Shoreline Management Plan previously scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at the Ashland City Elementary School Library in Ashland City, Tenn. This workshop will be rescheduled at the conclusion of the shutdown.

NR 17-044: Public workshop set for Cheatham Lake shoreline management plan update

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 28, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District invites the public to attend a public workshop and provide input concerning the Cheatham Lake Shoreline Management Plan five-year review. The workshop is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at the Ashland City Elementary School Library in Ashland City, Tenn. ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (May 24, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering public access to Cheatham Navigation Lock, located at Cumberland River mile 148.7. The lock viewing area is open to visitors seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 26 until Sept. 8, 2017.

NR 15-10: Corps offers tours of Cordell Hull Dam Power Plant and Lock

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 8, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering the public free guided tours of Cordell Hull Power Plant and Lock located in Carthage, Tenn. Not all portions of the dam will be accessible to the public due to safety concerns. Approximately 45 minutes in length, tours are scheduled on June 13 and July 11, with the tour beginning at 10 a.m. both days.

NR 13-026: Nashville District managing Cumberland after July 1-7 rain event

(July 8, 2013) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Water Management staff is responding to the effects of unusually heavy rainfall in areas of the upper and mid-Cumberland River Basin July 1-7, 2013 and is managing the release of water from the system of dams on the Cumberland River.
