NR 21-35: Army Corps of Engineers waives day use fees at recreation areas in observance of Veterans Day
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that it will waive day use fees at its more than 2,850 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide in observance of Veterans Day, Nov. 11. This includes areas the Nashville District operates within the Cumberland River Basin.

ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (April 16, 2021) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that Cheatham Lock at Cumberland River mile 148.6 is undergoing a series of closures from April 22 through July 23.

NR 21-02: Nashville District raises fees for shoreline facilities
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 11, 2021) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that it will raise fees for certain shoreline facilities beginning March 1. The Nashville District Real Estate Office reviews and updates these fees every five years.

NR 20-023: Cheatham Lake Right Bank Recreation Area closed
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 9, 2020) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces the immediate closure of the Right Bank Recreation Area Beach at Cheatham Lake in Ashland City, Tennessee, due to elevated levels of Escherichia coli (E. Coli.). The area is still open for picnicking and boat launching.

NR 18-030: Public reminded of drone policies at Corps, TVA projects
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 6, 2018) — The public is reminded of the policies of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and Tennessee Valley Authority that govern the operation and use of recreational unmanned aerial systems (UAS or drones) . The Corps of Engineers operates and maintains navigation locks at TVA dams where the TVA drone policy applies.

NR 18-021: Corps of Engineers offers public access to Cheatham Lock
ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (July 9, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering public access to Cheatham Navigation Lock located at Cumberland River mile 148.7. The lock is accessible to visitors seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. now through Sept. 3, 2018.
