NR 16-022: Barkley Dam 50th anniversary commemoration moved indoors

KUTTAWA, Ky. (Aug. 19, 2016) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Barkley Dam is being moved indoors tomorrow due to the high chance of rain in the forecast.  The event will now be held 11 a.m. at the Badget Playhouse Theater located at 1838 J. H. O’Brien Avenue in Grand Rivers, Ky.

A reception will follow at the Grand Rivers Community Center located at 155 West Cumberland Avenue in Grand Rivers, Ky.  For more information about the event call the Lake Barkley Natural Resource Manager’s Office at (270) 362-4236.
