Lower water level at J. Percy Priest Lake due to lack of rain
This is the shoreline at J. Percy Priest Lake and Dam. The lake level is approximately three feet below the top of summer pool. Without significant rainfall the lake may not reach its typical summer elevation of 490 feet above mean sea level. The public is cautioned to be cautious when recreating at J. Percy Priest Lake. Lower water levels make navigation more hazardous in more shallow areas where rocks or snags could be closer to the surface.
