Eagle Watch

The next Dale Hollow Lake Eagle Watch is scheduled Jan. 15 and 22, 2022.  The Eagle Watch activities are held on the third and fourth Saturday of January.  Eagle enthusiasts are transported by open barge in search of wintering bald eagles. The eagle watch tours are free, but advance reservations are required. Advance reservations will be accepted beginning on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021.

Wilderness Day Camp

Wilderness Day Camp

Wilderness Day Camp is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. the second Thursday in July.  The Eighth Annual Wilderness Day Camp will be July 14, 2022.  The Annual Wilderness Day Camp is a unique opportunity for youth to connect with nature while learning new outdoor skills.  Children spend time at each of six to eight stations.   Activity stations may include BB-gun and archery target shooting, water safety, live birds of prey, snakes and tortoises, a dog care and handling demonstration, and fly rod casting.  The event is located at the Dale Hollow Dam Day Use picnic shelter and vicinity.  Hosted by the Friends of Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery, the Wilderness Day Camp is a partnership of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Tennessee State Parks, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. 

Public Lands Day

National Public Lands Day LogoDale Hollow Lake National Public Lands DayNational Public Lands Day Events:  Volunteers are needed to help clean up the shoreline Dale Hollow Lake Sept. 24, 2022.  Show your appreciation for our nation's public lands and Dale Hollow Lake by joining in the annual Fall Lakeshore Cleanup. This event is held the last Saturday of each September.   Registration begins at 8 a.m., and trash bags will be provided. The cleanup is held in cooperation with the Friends of Dale Hollow Lake, Inc.
