Annual Kids’ Fishing Rodeo Postponed
Due to concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kids’ Fishing Rodeo scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 6 at the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery has been postponed. Every effort will be made to hold the event at a later date should conditions allow. The public fishing area located below the hatchery will continue to be stocked with trout, as will the Obey River. The hatchery public fishing area can continue to be accessed via the hatchery visitor parking lot which will also remain open. The hatchery visitor center and public restrooms remain temporarily closed until further notice. Please check the hatchery web site at http://www.gov.dalehollow or call 931-243-2443 for updates.
Event Info: Kids 15 and under are encouraged to participate in a Fishing Rodeo at the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery. The event is always held on the first Saturday after the first Monday in June from 8 am until 12 noon. Fish will be caught and prizes will be given. The event is held on the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency’s Annual Free Fishing Day. This event is held in cooperation with the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery. The location is two miles northeast of Celina, Tenn., on State Rt. 53, below Dale Hollow Dam.
