The Nashville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers welcomes you to Dale Hollow Lake. Dale Hollow is a vacation destination that borders the Tennessee-Kentucky state line and each year the lake provides recreational opportunities to millions of visitors. Surrounded by a thick expanse of forest, the clear blue lake creates a stunning scenic backdrop for a variety of water and land recreational activities.  The temperate climate and relatively long recreation season, allows visitors to have many opportunities to fish, hunt, camp, picnic, boat, canoe, hike, scuba dive, ride horseback, and enjoy the great outdoors.

Dale Hollow Lake belongs to you.  Treat your lake and surrounding area with respect by keeping it clean and attractive.  Enjoy yourself, practice water safety, and have a safe visit.  Return often!

Dale Hollow Lake Announcements

National Public Lands Day-Shoreline Cleanup

The annual Dale Hollow Lake Shoreline Cleanup will take place on Saturday, September 28th 2019 at multiple locations around the lake. USACE staff will be stationed at both Lillydale Recreation Area and Pleasant Grove Recreation Area and will be supplying trash bags, gloves and directing volunteers to areas with large amounts of trash to be picked up. The event will start at 8AM cst and end at 12PM cst. All volunteers should wear the proper clothing and footwear to walk the rugged shoreline of the lake. Any questions can be made by contacting the Dale Hollow Lake Resource Manager's Office at 931-243-3136.

Public workshops for Dale Hollow Lake’s Master Plan Revision scheduled

Celina TN. (May 3, 2019) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Nashville District, Dale Hollow  Lake is holding public workshops on June 6th to gain comments on the lake’s Master Plan Revision. The public is invited to the Livingston Community Center on June 6th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to discuss the revision to the Master Plan.  Staff will also be available to discuss changes and receive comments to the Master Plan during daytime hours on June 6th at the Resource Managers office in Celina, TN.

The purpose of this workshop and open house is to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the proposed improvements to the current 1976 Master Plan. An associated draft Environmental Assessment (EA) will also be available for review and comment and have a concurrent public comment period.

Resource Manager Steven Beason said that this gives the public an opportunity to review the elements that make up the Master Plan and provide comments. There will be no formal presentation so the interested parties can stop by any time.

You may also request a copy of the documents by emailing a request to DaleHollowLake@usace.army.mil. Written comments and requests will be accepted at the workshop, open house, emailed to DaleHollowLake@usace.army.mil or mailed to the Dale Hollow Lake Resource Manager’s Office at 540 Dale Hollow Dam Road, Celina, TN 38551.  All comments and requests must be received by the Resource Manager’s Office no later than Sunday, July 7, 2019 to be considered.

The Livingston Chamber of commerce is located at 222 E. Main Street Livingston TN 38570 and the Dale Hollow Lake Resource Manager’s Office is located at 540 Dale Hollow Dam Road, Celina, TN 38551.

Corps of Engineers Year 2020 Annual Day Use Passes Available

The Corps of Engineers Annual Day Use Passes for the expiration year of 2020 are now available for purchase. The pass permits the holder to use Corps of Engineers boat launching ramps and swim beaches at day use recreation fee areas.  Each pass is valid one year from the date of purchase and costs $40.  Annual passes can be purchased beginning now at the Resource Manager's Office in Celina, TN from 7:30am to 3:30pm Central Standard Time. 

During the recreation season, passes can be purchased at the following locations during regular business hours:  Dale Hollow Dam Campground 931-243-3554; Lillydale Campground 931-823-4155; Pleasant Grove Day Use Area 931-243-3555; Obey River Day Use & Campground 931-864-6209/931-864-6388; and Willow Grove Campground 931-823-4285.
