Group Picnic Shelters

The Corps of Engineers manages several picnic areas on Cordell Hull Lake.  At some of these scenic, relaxing areas, you will find group picnic shelters.  Six of these shelters may be Tailwater Recreation Area Shelter and Playgroundreserved (for a fee) up to 365 days in advance.  Reservations may be made through the Recreation One Stop no less than two days before your picnic date.  When a shelter is not reserved, it is available on a first-come, first serve basis.  Shelters are available for reservation from early April until late October.

A swim beach, bathroom, playground equipment, electric, water, and a boat ramp are located at or within walking distance to each picnic shelter.
