Fishing conditions on Lake Cumberland are reported as follows:   Bluegill are very active along the shoreline and can be caught on crickets, wax worms and red worms. Stripers are being caught in main creeks using live shad.  Some bass are being caught using shaky heads and small jigs.  Below the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery and in the Cumberland River, Rainbow and Brown Trout can be caught on spinners, salmon eggs, night crawlers, and corn.  As of November 16, 2009, the water temperature at Lee's Ford Marina was 59 degrees at the surface, 55 degrees at 5 feet, 54 degrees at 25 feet, and 53 degrees at 30 feet.

Generating Schedule

On November 19 2009, the Lake Cumberland headwater elevation is 681.34, the tentative generation schedule is from 5 a.m. until noon and again from        5 p.m. until 10 p.m.  This schedule is subject to change without notice.  

Events and Activities 

  ** Be careful while boating.  Since Lake Cumberland's draw down in '07 associated with ongoing repair at Wolf Creek Dam, boaters should be advised of possible navigational hazards such as rock points and shoals, islands, etc. due to lower water levels.
