IIS is the Corps program providing technical assistance to non-Department of Defense federal agencies, state and local governments, tribal nations, private U.S. firms, international organizations, and foreign governments.  Most IIS work is funded on a reimbursable basis.  The Corps provides engineering and construction services, environmental restoration and management services, research and development assistance, management of water and land related natural resources, relief and recovery work, and other management and technical services.

Corp support to other agencies helps them meet their program challenges while avoiding duplication of federal capabilities and agency start up and closeout activities.  Under the Corps’ IIS program, state, and local governments are able to access Corps unique support capabilities.

Product lines and services the Corps can provide through IIS Program are:

  • Water Resources and Development
  • Environmental Restoration

  • Design and Construction

  • Program/Project Management

  • Real Estate

  • Operations and Maintenance

  • Disaster Response Support
