    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 10, 2020) – The annual Dale Hollow Lake Eagle Watch is cancelled in January 2021 due to COVID-19 and concerns with space limitations on the barge that transports visitors during this event.
  • NR 19-032: Closure of Bell Road scheduled at J. Percy Priest Dam

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 29, 2019) – Bell Road is closing at J. Percy Priest Dam from 7 a.m. Monday to 4 p.m. Thursday (day and night) the weeks of June 3-6 and July 15-18. The road is also closing 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily June 10-13, June 17-20, June 24-27, and July 8-11 while the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District performs a five-year inspection of the spillway gates, chains, machinery and performs routine maintenance. The roadway will be open on weekends over the duration of the work. The roadway remains open Monday through Thursday, July 1-4, for Independence Day celebrations.

    CARTHAGE, Tenn. (April 18, 2019) – Cordell Hull Lake is offering the America the Beautiful Recreation Passes and Corps of Engineers Annual Pass for the 2019 recreation season from May 1 until Sept. 2, 2019 at its developed recreation areas.

    HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (May 25, 2016) – Old Hickory Dam is offering free public tours of the powerhouse 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 25, and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 10, 2016) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District has updated the Old Hickory Lake Master Plan. The 2016 Master Plan, associated environmental assessment, and signed finding of no significant impact are posted on the Old Hickory Lake website.
  • NR 15-035: Dale Hollow Dam Road closing for bridge inspection

    CELINA, Tenn. (Sept 25, 2015) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that the road crossing Dale Hollow Dam is closing to all traffic 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6, 2015 while maintenance personnel perform a routine inspection of the bridge.
  • 15-028: Public workshops scheduled for Old Hickory Lake Master Plan update

    HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 4, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District at Old Hickory Lake is holding two Master Plan Update public workshops in August. The first is Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Old Hickory Lake Resource Manager's Office in Hendersonville, Tenn. The second is Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mt. Juliet High School in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 8, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is holding back water and limiting releases at its dams to relieve high-water levels on the lower Ohio and Mississippi Rivers where record seasonal flooding is underway.
  • NR 15-024: Sunset Marina flying new ‘Clean Marina’ flag

    NASHVILLE, TENN., (July 2, 2015) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District supports marina operators and owners who are voluntarily striving to protect the water resources of the Cumberland River Basin by going “clean and green” such as Sunset Marina in Monroe, Tenn. The Corps, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Cumberland River Compact, and Sunset Marina celebrated June 22, 2015 as the marina received their recertification and a new flag to designate them as a “Clean Marina.”

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 2, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District expects elevated lake levels over the Independence Day weekend at Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake. This anticipated rise in lake levels is the result of heavy rainfall in the forecast and the ongoing flooding situation on the lower Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.
