    Commander emphasizes to graduates that leadership is a team sport

    Nashville District constructing Mountain Home National Cemetery expansion

    JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 17, 2022) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is providing technical services and managing construction of the Mountain Home National Cemetery Expansion Project, which will add 6,365 burial and cremation plots, plus eight columbarium units with 3,140 niches for veteran internments.

    SMYRNA, Tenn. (April 5, 2022) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District provided an “ESCAPE” last week for employees called upon to answer phones, complete personnel actions, update training records, manage equipment accounts, purchase supplies, coordinate travel, input time and attendance, and other administrative tasks in their work centers.

    Newest licensed professionals celebrated for National Engineers Week

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 23, 2022) – To recognize the Nashville District’s newest licensed professionals during National Engineers Week, six nameplates have been affixed onto the “Registered Professional Personnel” board as a record of achievement for all to see in the district headquarters.

    Corps supports FEMA debris mission in Tennessee

    Carter named Nashville District Employee of the Month for June 2021

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 12, 2021) – John Carter, security specialist in the Security Office, is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Employee of the Month for June 2021. He is recognized primarily for his efforts to identify the need for and detail a low-cost solution to obtain security signage for project sites across the district’s area of responsibility.

    Park rangers teaming up with Nashville Shores on water safety

    HERMITAGE, Tenn. (Aug. 12, 2021) – J. Percy Priest Lake park rangers are teaming up with Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort every Friday for another exciting summer of water safety education. From noon until 2 p.m., rangers hand out orange goodie bags filled with various water safety trinkets and informational pamphlets.
