    ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (June 15, 2017) – A team of engineering professionals from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District welcomed a group of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math summer camp students today for an overview of Corps careers and tour of the Cheatham Lock and Dam today.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 24, 2016) –Technical experts from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District prepared students for future STEM careers during the “My Future, My Way” Career Exploration Fair at two exhibits sponsored by the Metro Nashville Public schools Academies of Nashville and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce at Music City Convention Center Oct. 27, 2016.

    Local teachers develop STEM curriculum through Corps externships

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 26, 2016) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is committed to supporting science, technology, engineering and mathematics programs in partnership with local educators. Three Stratford STEM Magnet High School teachers recently participated in an externship at the Nashville District Headquarters and at Old Hickory Dam that will help them develop project-based curriculum and facilitate applied learning.

    Corps prepares future student engineers at Summer Engineering Program

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 24, 2016) –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District collaborated with the Tennessee State University College of Engineering, Technology and Computer Science Department to mentor science, technology, engineering and math students involved in a four-week National Summer Transportation Institute program on the campus of TSU June 20 through July 1.

    Nashville teachers develop STEM curriculum through Corps externships

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 9, 2015) – Local high school teachers are using externships with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District to develop a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics class curriculum . It will reflect real world situations a student might encounter in as a science or engineering professional.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 7, 2014) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District collaborated with the Tennessee State University Engineering Department to mentor science, technology, engineering and math students during a four-week National Summer Transportation Institute program June 30 through July 3 on the campus of TSU.

Both were part of a group of 17 students who attended the Tennessee State University Engineering Department's four-week National Summer Transportation Institute program that introduces students to various aspects of engineering. Both Dededaux and Fitzgerald plan to attend Tennessee State University and study Engineering.
