NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 15, 2012) – Trena Bradshaw, outreach program specialist in the Project Planning Branch at Nashville District Headquarters, is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Employee of the Month for March 2012.
Commending Bradshaw for her superior performance in logistical planning in two high visibility events that occurred in the month of March, Russ Rote, chief of planning, said she has been a special member of the Project Planning team and her responsiveness and dedication is unmatched.
“She really hit the ball out of the park organizing the Ohio River Basin River Alliance Regional Conference and the State of Tennessee-USACE partnering meeting all in the same week,” said Rote.
Held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Bradshaw organized the Ohio River Basin Alliance Conference’s registration, audio-visual requirements, lunches, the ice breaker session, meeting room setup and secured conference speakers that included Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and Tennessee Valley Authority Vice President John McCormick.
“Conference participants were very pleased with this event which wouldn't have been as successful without Trena's dedicated involvement,” said Mike Wilson, deputy for Nashville District’s Programs and Project Management.
Bradshaw also took on the responsibility of scheduling the State of Tennessee and U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Partnering Meeting that had not been held in years due to the complexities that prevented top leaders from the State and Corps from meeting together.
“This meeting was very beneficial in building relationship between the state and Corps members,” said Wilson. “The meeting was well attended by state officials including the Department of Environmental Conservation commissioner and the Nashville and Memphis District commanders.”

Bradshaw is married to Donald Bradshaw and they have two children. When she is not at work, she likes to send time outdoors, watching basketball, and dancing.
