    GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (May 24, 2017) – A ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 30 at 9 a.m., to name the US Highway 62 Bridge across the Tennessee River below Kentucky Dam the “George A. (Tony) Ellis Bridge.” The ceremony will be held at the Grand Rivers Senior Citizens Center to recognize the professional achievements of Ellis and unveil the new sign to name the bridge in his memory and honor.

    OLD HICKORY, Tenn. (May 24, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering public access to Old Hickory Navigation Lock located at Cumberland River mile 216.2. The lock will be accessible to visitors seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 26 until Sept. 8, 2017.

    ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (May 24, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering public access to Cheatham Navigation Lock, located at Cumberland River mile 148.7. The lock viewing area is open to visitors seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 26 until Sept. 8, 2017.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 4, 2017) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and Thalle Construction Company, construction contractor, will discuss upcoming blasting operations near Center Hill Dam during a public meeting 5:30 p.m. May 9 at the Resource Manager’s Shop Conference Room located just below the dam at 158 Resource Lane in Lancaster, Tenn.

(May 4, 2017) — An alliance of state, federal and non-governmental partners are hosting a free public workshop 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 25 at the Leslie Town Centre in Cookeville, Tenn., that will show participants how to develop their own small businesses to sell heat-treated firewood to fill increasing demand at campgrounds in Tennessee.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 14, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Dale Hollow Dam Road at the dam in Celina, Tenn., is closing 8 a.m. April 25 through 4 p.m. April 28, 2017 due to scheduled maintenance to inspect the spillway gates and trunnions.
