    OLD HICKORY, Tenn. (May 21, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering public access to Old Hickory Navigation Lock beginning May 28, 2015. The lock will be accessible to visitors seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Sept. 8, 2015.

    GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (May 19, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering the public free guided tours of Lake Barkley’s Powerhouse, Lock and Natural Resource Management Office. Approximately two hours in length, tours are scheduled June 20, July 18 and Aug. 15, 2015, with tour start times of 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.
  • NR 15-012: Ceremony marks completion of Center Hill Dam barrier wall

    LANCASTER, Tenn. (May 18, 2015) – Officials celebrated the completion of a barrier wall in the main dam embankment of Center Hill Dam during a ceremony today at the work platform on top of the dam. The $115 million foundation barrier wall is a key component of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District’s Center Hill Dam Safety Remediation Project.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 8, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering the public free guided tours of Cordell Hull Power Plant and Lock located in Carthage, Tenn. Not all portions of the dam will be accessible to the public due to safety concerns. Approximately 45 minutes in length, tours are scheduled on June 13 and July 11, with the tour beginning at 10 a.m. both days.

    FLORENCE, Ala. (April 3, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is temporarily stopping tours at Wilson Lock for maintenance operations. The lock will be available for tours the weekends of April 3-5 and 10-12, but will close between April 17 and June 18, 2015.
