    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 20, 2020) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Old Hickory Lake is implementing a temporary closure of the boat ramp at Cedar Creek Recreation Area in Mt. Juliet beginning Thursday, May 21, 2020. This closure was not initially planned as part of the Nashville District's COVID-19 response; however, unauthorized public access to currently closed facilities adjacent to this ramp has become a concern. All other Corps managed boat ramps will remain open.

The Corps of Engineers operates and maintains navigation locks at TVA dams where the TVA drone policy applies.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 30, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Shutes Branch Mountain Bike Trail at Old Hickory Lake in Old Hickory, Tenn., is partially closing Oct. 30, 2018 while crews install a septic system for the National Weather Office located in the area. The work is expected to be completed by early January 2019.

  • NR 17-025: Congressionally mandated senior pass price increase takes effect Aug. 28

    WASHINGTON – In order to meet requirements set by legislation passed by Congress in December 2016, the price of the America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Senior Pass will increase from $10 to $80. The change will take effect August 28, 2017. Pass holders are given lifetime access to more than 2,000 sites and parks. The fee increase will support critical investments in maintenance projects at national parks and federal recreational lands nationwide.
