NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 12, 2019) – The Corps of Engineers Annual Day Use Passes for the expiration year of 2020 and use for the 2019 recreation season are now available for purchase.  Save money if you are a repeat user of the Corps of Engineers’ day use areas.

With Obey River Campground and Day Use opening late this year due to flooding damage, Corps of Engineers Annual Day Use Passes are available for purchase 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (CST) Saturday, April 20 at the Obey Day Use booth in Byrdstown, Tenn.

Each pass is valid one year from the date of purchase and costs $40.  During this sale date, only cash will be accepted and in the exact amount.

The pass permits the holder to use Corps of Engineers boat launching ramps and swim beaches at day use recreation fee areas.  These recreation areas on Dale Hollow Lake include Pleasant Grove, Obey River Day Use and Lillydale Day Use.  Visitors without the annual pass may use these areas by paying a daily fee of $5 vehicle.   The pass is honored at Corps of Engineers day use recreation areas across the country.

Passes can be purchased in person at the Dale Hollow Lake Resource Manager’s Office, 540 Dale Hollow Dam Rd, Celina, Tenn., between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (CST), Monday through Friday.  Passes may also be purchased at each major campground on Dale Hollow Lake during their open season, or by mail order form.  To request a mail order form, contact the Resource Manager’s Office at 931-243-3136.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will also honor the America the Beautiful Interagency suite of passes for free day use entry if pass is valid and properly displayed.  Bearers of these passes may also be required to produce photo ID to verify accurate pass use. These passes include The America the Beautiful Senior Pass Lifetime, Senior Pass Annual, Access Pass, Interagency Annual Pass, Volunteer Pass, Annual Military Pass and Every Kid in a Park Pass. Valid bearers of these passes will not need the Corps Annual Day Use Pass as these listed will provide free day use entry at participating federal sites.  These passes may not be valid for other types of fees.  Not all federal recreation agencies participate in this program; check with the facility before your arrival.
