Maintenance and repairs are underway Sept. 28, 1945 at Hales Bar Lock on the Tennessee River in Jasper, Tenn. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District operated Hales Bar Lock until the dam was removed and replaced by Nickajack Dam in 1967.
