Daily Fishing Report for
Laurel River Lake
Fishing Information by Phone: (606) 878-9298
Fishing has been very sporadic with the heavy rainfall lately. Water temps are up about 4 degrees since last Monday. Fishermen are reporting large mouth bass in shallow water with direct sunlight, often near brush and structure. Try enticing a strike with a variety of artificial lures, anything to make the bass protect its bed.
As of 02 May, 2016 the lake elevation is 1017.17 feet above mean sea level. The surface water temperature as recorded at Holly Bay Marina is 71 degrees, at 5 feet 70 degrees, at 10 feet 66.5 degrees, and at 25 feet 55.0 degrees.
The generation schedule is always subject to change without notice, causing difficulty pinpointing exactly when generations will be held. However, generations are usually performed at times of peak electricity usage.
